There are three levels of "AI + Tesla," and they're easy to confuse:
- Voice buttons. Siri Shortcuts or the Alexa "My Tesla" skill map a phrase to a single command. Useful, but rigid — one phrase, one action.
- In-car chat. Tesla's own "Hey Grok" answers questions and sets navigation from the driver's seat. It lives in the car, and today it doesn't run your climate or charging remotely.
- A real assistant. You ask for an outcome — "make sure the car's cool when my last meeting ends" — and the assistant decides which commands to run, when, and combines them with everything else it knows about your day.

Is this an official Tesla assistant? No. mytesla.io is an independent service operated by Embay, LLC, built on Tesla's official Fleet API. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc.
Can the assistant drive the car? No. There is no "drive" tool. It controls climate, charging, locks, alerts, navigation sharing, and a few security toggles — nothing that moves the car.
