Tesla AI Skills

A skill is a ready-made routine for your AI-connected Tesla. Instead of inventing your own prompts, you paste one phrase into Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-aware assistant, and the AI reads the skill and runs the whole routine for you: the right tools, the right order, the right questions.

These skills keep themselves current

Every skill here tells your AI to re-read the skill file before running it, if it has not done so in the last 24 hours, and to follow that version over anything it remembered from an earlier paste. So when we correct a cost, rename a tool or improve a routine, the change reaches you on your next run rather than only reaching people who paste the skill for the first time.

It also means you should not think of a skill as a one-time paste. Each one asks your assistant to write a short line into its own standing memory, with the cadence you chose, so the routine keeps happening. What that is worth depends on your assistant: some can run things on a schedule, some will act on the note when the moment comes up in conversation, and some cannot persist anything at all. Each skill says which it needs, and none of them will pretend to be running on their own when they are not.

A note on "set and forget"

Each skill says plainly whether it truly repeats on its own. Some write settings that live on the car itself (the car keeps doing the routine with no AI involved). Others are checks and reports with no vehicle-side equivalent. Those repeat only if your assistant can run a scheduled task: ChatGPT's and Claude's scheduled tasks can both use connected tools like mytesla.io (on ChatGPT Free a recurring task runs at most once a day in a rough time window, exact times need a paid plan, and Claude's scheduled tasks need a paid plan). Otherwise you ask for them when you want them. Every skill is honest about which kind it is.
