# Tesla AI Skills

> Turn-key routines for your AI-connected Tesla. Paste one phrase into Claude or ChatGPT and the AI runs the whole routine: departure prep, off-peak charging, security checks, and more.

A skill is a ready-made routine for your AI-connected Tesla. Instead of
inventing your own prompts, you paste one phrase into Claude, ChatGPT, or
any MCP-aware assistant, and the AI reads the skill and runs the whole
routine for you: the right tools, the right order, the right questions.

## How to use a skill

Copy this into your AI assistant, with the skill link of your choice:

That's the entire setup. The AI fetches the skill, asks you the one or two
preferences it needs, and does the rest. Every skill is also a normal page
you can read yourself first, so you know exactly what your AI will do
before you hand it the wheel.

## A note on "set and forget"

Each skill says plainly whether it truly repeats on its own. Some write
settings that live on the car itself (the car keeps doing the routine with
no AI involved). Others are checks and reports with no vehicle-side
equivalent, and today's AI assistants can't yet reliably run MCP routines
on their own schedule, so you re-paste those when you want them. Every
skill is honest about which kind it is.

## What you need

- A Tesla that supports the Fleet API (roughly 2018 and newer Model S, 3,
  X, or Y)
